In lieu of a written blog this week, I thought it would be nice to include a history of the Great American Smokeout, which has brought millions of smokers into smoke-free living. The story of how the Smokeout has shaped public perception throughout the years is a fascinating one, and many of us literally owe our lives and our health to the people who made it happen:

I AM TRUELY WANT TO QUIT SMOKING, I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING MY PROBLEM IS I GET SEVRE CONSTIPATION, ITS SOFT BUT THE WHOLE BOWEL FUNCTION DOES NOT WORK I GET SO BLOTED LIKE I AM PREGNANT AGAIN AND NOTHING WORKS. TRIED HIGH FIBER EVEN METAMUCIL I JUST BLOATED UP MORE AND THEN I STARTED REGRUITAITING BACK UP THROUGH MY THROAT COULD NOT EAT ANYTHING AT ALL. I HAVE BARRETTS ESPHOGUS MY STOMACHE DOCTOR TRIED TO HELP BUT ONLY GOT WORSE UNTIL THE 3 RD I HAD TO GIVE TO THE CIG. AGAIN. CAN ANYONE HELP ON THIS ONE I WAS THINKING THIS WEEK TRY AGAIN AND DRINK WATER AND PULP JUICES. AND SEE HOW LONG I CAN LAST I REALLY REALLY WANT TO QUIT.
